Dish Tags
You can use dish tags to mark dishes as gluten-free, spicy, vegetarian, popular, special, etc., or whichever to make it stand out or identify it to help customers find dishes on the menu.
How to create a dish tag:
1. From the dashboard, click the Menus button on the left-hand side of the screen.
2. On the menus page, go to the Dish Tags tab.
3. Click Create New Dish Tag.
4. In the window that pops up, in the Name field, type a name for your dish tag.
5. In the Tag Text field, type the text that will display beside the tag.
6. Choose the icon type, if desired. If you choose text, type the text that will display to your customers. If you choose an icon, select an icon from the provided list.
7. Select the tag colors or the icon colors, both for the text and the background of the tag or icon.
8. Click Save.
How to add or remove a dish tag to or from a dish:
You may add tags to menu item dishes either from either the dish tag screen or on the menu item
Adding Tags on the Dish Tag screen
1. In the dish tag editing window, go to the Add/Remove from Dishes tab.
2. Click the arrows to the left of the menus and/or categories to expand them.
3. Click the checkboxes to apply the dish tag to the desired menu(s), category/categories, or dish(es).
4. To remove a dish tag from a menu, category, or dish, simply uncheck the appropriate box.
5. Click Save.
Adding Tags on the Menu Item Dish Screen
1. Click on Menu from the left menu.
2. Click on arrows to open the menu, category, and edit on the menu item dish.
3. On the Edit Dish item screen click on the Image & Tags tab.
4. Select the Dish Tags select or type to search then select the tags to add. You may add one or more tags from this screen.
5. Click Save
If you need to add additional tags, follow the steps at the top of this article to add additional tags.
Remove Dish Tags
To remove dish tags, simply click on the [x] next to the tag to remove it and click Save.
